My husband has got stuck in a style rut. He decided years ago what suits him and has stuck pretty religiously to it ever since. He will pick up a checked shirt when he is looking for something smart and he will choose a polo top when wanting to dress down. He always looks good but if he let me loose I would choose him a more relaxed weekend style. When I have bought him tops he invariably likes them – even if initially he looks confused or not sure! Christmas morning was a prime example as he unwrapped one of my presents. he looked surprised, looked at the label and then put it to one side. he dutifully wore it a few days later, I complimented him. Since then he has worn it a number of times – without me prompting. I assume he likes it now!
Footwear wise I don’t think I have seen him out of a pair of black shoes trainers apart from when on holiday. Then the Birkenstocks come out for the sunshine. Therefore I would love to get him in some much more casual weekend shoes. These converse are now under £24 which is a total steal. My kids love converse and so do I – I think they would approve of dad’s new clothes too!
Below are my wishlist picks for him and what’s more they are all in the sale at House of Fraser and therefore purse friendly. My picks include some more fitted jeans, I know who wouldn’t wear really skinny but these would look great on him. The dockers jacket is a great buy from Spring reduced to just £90 from £150. The grey top is Tommy Hilliger and this too was reduced from £45 to under half price. There is a great range of T Shirts available at great prices.
