My life is at a real crossroads, I have turned off the path I have been travelling for the past 14 Years and I am taking the narrow road. Going around the corner a bit, walking into the unknown. Ruth at Dorkymum tagged me in this meme which actually I really liked, so humour me!
Currently I am: I’m actually being a bit naughty because I am sitting in my classroom. I have three days left and today is a planning day. Yet for the first time in what feels like forever I don’t have a scheme of work to write and I have no marking. Instead I’m just thinking about how much my working life is about to change.
Reading: Magazines, reading is one thing that seems to disappear in term time unless I’m reading a textbook. I have a stash of books ready to indulge in once the final bell rings on Wednesday. Chloe has recently read ‘The fault in our stars’ and I have that ready to start on the plane or before if time allows. I only seem to read a magazine in the bath at the moment but I am looking forward to remedying that.
Listening too: Paloma Faith, I recently bought her album on a whim and really enjoy it. I sing at the top of my voice in the car which i love even though I cannot actually hold a tune!
Laughing at: The children, they are so ridiculously excited by our upcoming Florida holiday. They keep making all sorts of plans and watching you tube clips of the rides and then daring each other about which ones they are going on.
Swooning at: My beautiful bright flowers and silver necklace that my work colleagues bought for me as a leaving present. Spoilt girl here!
Planning: The big Florida tip, bring Disney the Biggs / Bradley’s are coming! My dad and I have planned and planned we have been waiting for this holiday to arrive for the past few years. We are so excited and planning has been central to holiday planning.
Eating lots: well actually trying not too, ready to be bikini confident and ready to tackle holiday food! I have even reduced my alcohol consumption.
Feeling: Excited, apprehensive, energized by my decision to leave to teaching for now.
Discovering: How much I enjoy challenging myself and spending time with the teen. yesterday we took on Go ape together and won. Although I can feel the effort in my arms today and the bruises are badges of honour!
Wearing: Activity week clothes, so a uniform of black linen trousers and a smartish green t shirt with pretty dragonflies on.
Cooking: A bit but relying on chuck it in the oven stuff too much again. Looking forward to becoming a proper homecooking meals mum for the children.
Wondering: Whether my finances will stretch beyond my expected level of income. Can I really take on the challenge of downsizing our income in exchange for quality family time? Only by following this new blog will you see the answer to that question! If you want to subscribe to following now is a good time!
Trying out: Whether I can have two successful blogs on the go! Whether I can make freelancing work for me.
