It has been a funny ole week here as I have started Christmas shopping but feel a bit vague about it all. Buying for my teens is easy but I am finding it difficult for Erin who is now 8. There are some great bargains about especially with it being Black Friday but I don’t know what to get! There was a report from Which? this week discussing the deals and whether they really are deals and I can vouch that I have seen some real deals!
One great offer is this Chelsea dolls playset from Amazon, we paid twice the price for it in Toys R Us on Monday, I can’t take it back as Erin is already playing with it. Its a fab little set but we paid £22 for it!
However, I have made some savings this week:
- I have been using voucher codes to get better discounts which have saved me money.
- I finally signed up for a trial of Amazon Prime, just so that I get free delivery for the next month! Are you signed up? If not you can get the free trial by clicking the ad below.
- We have had a big sort out for the charity shop this week plus I have been putting our reverse advent calendar together for the family we are gifting to this year.
- I have bulk bought Lilly’s dog food as it is much cheaper to buy it this way. I just have to hope she doesn’t go off it anytime soon!
FIVE FABULOUSLY THINGS I’VE DONE

Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post. You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
