We have finally reached half term again and it is also a Bank Holiday weekend which means that many will be looking forward to a long weekend. The sun will hopefully shine and put everyone in a lovely mood! My eldest is coming home from University for the summer which means I have my little family all under one roof again. I have still managed to be frugal this week and make some savings where I can.
Five Fabulously Frugal Thing’s I’ve Done Linky
The first way that I have been frugal this is week is with what I am eating. I have been meal planning and making good choices like this blueberry recipe created by the 8 Week Workout Plan. This plan is a super way to work out for less and make you feel better about yourself.
The second thing I’ve done this week is checked our electricity bills to discover that we were paying two companies due to a mix up when we switched. This was easy to sort and I was refunded within 24 hours.
Thirdly we are off on holiday soon and I have packed some soft drinks in one of our suitcases to save a bit of money in resort. The teenagers will want fizzy and we are full board not fully inclusive and this will definitely save some pennies. On a similar note, we are booked into the premium lounge at the airport where we can eat and drink all we want before we fly. This is a good value for us as my teenagers have a big appetite and will need feeding! There is an offer on at the minute for a 10% off when booking an airport lounge. I will have a full review after we have used it!
I also treated myself to a few new beauty boxes as they offer excellent value for money. The Good Housekeeping Beauty Box new limited-edition beauty edit, chosen for you by beauty director Eve Cameron, featuring £203 worth of beauty must-haves (including six full sized products) for only £50. So, whether you want to treat yourself or someone else to a luxury beauty gift, this is a perfect choice.
