How have you been frugal this week? We have been away at Butlins as their guests which has been wonderful which means that I haven’t had much of a chance to be frugal. However there are ways too cut costs on short breaks.
Firstly we had premium dining which meant that we all piled our plates high at breakfast which pretty much kept us topped up until dinner. Dinner consisted of a help yourself buffet which the children appreciate because it included ice cream!
Secondly I took essential supplies like wine, beer and squash which saved me paying bar prices. We were able to sit on our balcony in the evenings and enjoy the warm weather.
Thirdly the children all had an allowance which they could choose to spend as and when they liked. This meant that they learnt some more about budgeting but also did not ask for money each day. Erin choose a bubble gun, Chloe plenty of Costa’s and Dyl well he saved his!!
In addition to our mini break I did finish up cycling the last frame for the living room using some beautiful wall paper samples from Homebase!
