Know Your Wine

Fine wine is usually associated with breaking the bank. Whilst the words cheap and wine should never really be in the same sentence, this does not have to be the case as by knowing your wines you will be able to save some money whilst discovering new tastes. Websites such as VinePair can be an excellent starting point in becoming a wine connoisseur.

A number of online communities are also at your disposal in case you would like to find out more about a particular bottle or require any recommendation/serving suggestions.

Buying Your Wine

How many times, have you picked up a bottle on a Friday night, after enduring terrible weather, struggling for parking and long queues at the tills, before being able to get home, put your feet up and enjoy that lovely glass which you had been envisioning all day? Well, all this stress can be a thing of the past, as just like with pretty much every single item on the market, online shopping for wine is now becoming a popular way for saving time, effort and money.

Online wine shopping; not only it can often cut out the middle man thus reducing the price of your favorite bottle, but it also means that you can buy by the case saving up to 60% of what you would spend going to the supermarket… So you can forget the long queues!

Wine Accessories

One of the biggest problems with wine, is often going back to your favorite bottle, which you opened for a glass a couple of days ago and getting a flat or even bitter taste from it.

While some of us will drink it anyway and others may even dispose of it, whether you’re more inclined to endure the pain or quickly discarding your alcohol, there are a number of wine accessories, which you may have come across before, which can solve this issue. You may be thinking “I just want to pour my wine and enjoy it, why would I need any fancy gadgets to go with it?”. Well here’s why: wine accessories may sound like a gimmick however a small investment in some of these items not only can help you make the most of your wine but will actually enhance taste by unlocking more aromas. Take a look at a list of the best wine aerators for an idea.

Hopefully with our handy tips you will be able to enjoy, impress and entertain your friends and family with your new favorite bottles and accessories. Found any more ways of saving on wine? Let us know in the comments below.

This is some great information, and I appreciate your suggestion to do some research and know your wine. I haven’t really purchased much wine in the past, but a friend of mine introduced to me a kind she really likes, and I want to try some more out. I don’t want to break the bank, so I’ll definitely do some research and figure out which ones are good so I can look out for good deals. Thanks for the great post!
