Charity shop gold

I haven’t struck gold in our local charity for a while and was a wondering where all the good stuff had gone until last Friday.  We were heading off for a weekend away and I needed a few snacks and like usual I popped into the charity shop at the same time.

Firstly I spotted a lovely luxury skin brand set.  I have not used Ren products before but know they are expensive and well admired.  The Flash rinse one minute facial costs £32 for 75mls and this tube is 50mls.  The second product is Huile prodigieuse which sells for £21.  I really like oil based products for my hair and face and thought this is a good one to try.

You can imagine my smile when I spotted the 50pence sticker.  I classed that as a win.

As I moved around the store I then spotted a purple case that said Rio Pro 12 slim gym.  I have often wanted to try a a toning set as I like the feeling of a tens machine and I like the idea of toning up whilst I sit on the sofa!  Now I am not naive enough to think this is all I need to do to get back to a size 12 but along with eating better, drinking less and moving more I thought it was worth a shot. I opened the box and saw that most of it had not been opened.  The pads were still in sealed bags and the leads still had those little tag things on and were still neatly tied up.  I walked away thinking I would leave it as I didn’t know if they really work etc.  However I googled the make and style and quickly saw that they retail new at £100.  I looked again and thought for £5 it was worth a gamble.

That is right five whole pounds for something in an as new condition that retails  at £100.

 

This weekend we have been on a walking holiday so I hope that has stared my toning regime but I was still looking forward to trying this out.  After reading the manual I was impressed to see it has 12 different programmes.  I have tried it out this afternoon and I can definitely feel where it was used.  I will be using it for the next week or two to see if there is any noticeable difference.

However for £5.50 I do  feel that I hit charity gold this week!
