How I turned £50 to £55 using Zeek

October 3, 2016 by EmmaB 3 Comments

Zeek is an online app where you can buy and sell gift cards.  You may want to sell a gift card if you have been given one as a gift for a shop you know you that doesn’t sell things that floats your boat.  Or people that seem to sell gift cards are compers who have won them and would prefer the money.  The app is a great way to get rid of these cards. However it is as a buyer that it really benefits consumers because as a consumer I can show you how I turned £50 to £55 using Zeek.

Buyers benefit because sellers give a discount that is a percentage off the value of the gift card to entice people to buy the gift card.  Therefore buyers can maximise their money because they can earn 15% or above their cash value. Buying a gift card from Zeek is just like getting free money because it is how I turned £50 to £55 using Zeek.

I was given £50 from Zeek to look at the site and when talking to other money bloggers we each maximised our vouchers in different ways.  Clever hey!

  1. Some opted for food vouchers that they could use alongside voucher codes.  So they received a discount and then used the voucher on top of the gift card which had already gained them credit.  This worked with Hungry Horse for example.
  2. Others bought gift cards that they also  could use online and run cashback sites alongside.  Again this amplified credits.
  3. I just went for a high discount on the card.  This allowed me to make a £5 profit for buying the card rather than just buying the product direct from the store.

I bought a £55 River Island gift card for £50.  I ordered the card via the app and it immediately gave me a date to expect the gift card by, however it arrived much earlier.  It arrived as a signed for delivery which ensures accountability and gives me complete trust in the company.

Zeek have a great sign up offer too which means that every new sign up receives a £5 credit.  Both Chloe and the husband Lee signed up using my referral link and they got £5 off.  Both bought £10 Costa gift cards which then only cost them £5.  With the amount the teen spends in Costa that was an offer she couldn’t refuse!!

Zeek is a great tool for helping you stretch your money that bit further, it also helps you get rid of gift cards that are not for you.
