Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done Linky

October 11, 2019 by EmmaB Leave a Comment

Once more Friday has come hurtling towards us which means that I take time to reflect on the ways I have saved and made money this week. I have had a low spend week this week as I am trying really hard to save for our trip to Florida for next year. As always my philosophy is not about going without just trying to spend and save more mindfully.

The first big saving has been documented in the national press this week. I have been featured in The Mirror and The Daily Star regarding how I dish up hearty home-cooked food on a budget. This is nothing new and many of us do the same but it has been a popular post all the same!

Dylan has decided his winter coat is no longer big enough for him, I do agree it is a little on the short side but it is practically new! Therefore we have sold the coat and put the money towards the next one. I have given him a budget to find a coat he wants!

We are planning to visit Chloe at University in half term so we booked our Premier Inn in plenty of time so that we got a good deal. We managed to book our room for just £35 which you really can’t complain at considering 4 of us will be in the family room.

Christmas and birthdays are coming and so I start looking out for offers. I got a great Lego deal from Argos which was a half-price set from £80 down to £40. I have also spotted that Tesco has some great offers on half-price lego this week, £25 sets for £12.50. Now I am keeping my eyes peeled for wireless headphones for the teens who want have requested them this year. Chloe wants some that she can wear whilst running.

Finally, I have written 10 Christmas Traditions to start with your family these are low-cost ideas that I have done over the years with my own children and I have shared to help others make the most of the festive season on a budget.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.

Every week we share five frugal things that we’ve done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.  We’d love you to link up with us and show us what you’ve been doing.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!
