We have been writing this linky for a number of years now and it always amazes me how many ways we can save money or make money with just a little bit of effort.
Last week I mentioned the Too Good To Go app and I had lots of messages asking about it. I enjoy the challenge of grabbing a magic bag it feels like I’ve won something when I nab one!

5 Things I’ve Done This Week
- First up as I said I managed to get a Too Good To Go bag from Morrisons, it had several punnets of berries in them, wonky veg, a loaf of fresh baked bread and a couple of cakes. All for £3.09. We get through so many berries in this house as the kids use them in smoothies and on their breakfasts.
- Secondly, I have made money (in the long term) by looking at Erin’s child trust fund. I have reclaimed it and been talking to a financial journalist about better use of it. All children born between 2003-2009 were given a start-up of £250 to go into a long term savings plan. I have decided to start using this as another savings platform for Erin ready for it to mature when she is an adult. I will be featured as a case study in the national press about this soon.
- This one is a bit geeky but I have been looking at the costs associated with my business and looking at how I can cut these. I am starting with subscriptions that I don’t really need. You could probably do the same from a personal or business point of view.
- Next up I subscribed to papergang as a gift because it is something I’d like to receive and is brilliant for stationery lovers! It is a practical gift but a nice one!
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
