How get free Disney dining in Florida.

September 30, 2015 by EmmaB Leave a Comment

Visiting Florida and DisneyWorld is a dream come true.  I have so many wonderful memories of our two trips. Taking Erin was a magical experience and she still talks about it now.  Highlights include Frozen at my favourite park Hollywood Studios.  It also has my favourite rides there which includes the Areosmith ride and the Tower of Terror.  The Tower of Terror was probably my favourite although I wasn’t sure before getting into the lift!

Going to Disney is one of the ‘big’ holidays but there are definitely ways to stretch your money and get good value.  I saved for Disney in advance of booking and I knew exactly when to book. I waited for the ‘Free Disney Dining’ offer. This ensured that all of our meals were included in our break. This undoubtedly saved me so much money over the two weeks we were there. Therefore when booking look for the Free Dining Offers as they come around each year.

We would use a meal credit for breakfast before heading out to the park. Sometimes I would just use a snack credit and get the most delicious banana bread muffin and a drink with our unlimited refillable resort mugs. Then I would use the meal credit at lunch. I also switched the credits about and often shared meals with Erin. It is really easy to keep track of your meal credits when wearing the wristbands.

At the end of the holiday, we still had some snack credits left and the children headed to one of the shops and stocked up on sweets!  I would recommend free dining to everyone as a way of eating plenty and not having to pay for food in the parks or even worse lugging food about with you.  The meal credits can be used in the character restaurants and again I had pre-booked most of these including the new Be Our Guest restaurant.  The children loved the Cinderella ball meal at the Floridian, which is a beautiful setting and eat all you want buffet. This provides the perfect opportunity to dress up and wear your favourite Disney Jewellery Another favourite is the Princess Meal at Epcot in Norway, lots of the princesses come to see you and Erin was blown away by it!  She was dressed for the occasion and paraded around the restaurant with Snow White.

This week Disney let me know that the free dine offer is on again so now is the time to book and take advantage of it.  Did you know:

Walt Disney World predict that they will give away more than 300,000 meals using the Florida Parks.

A family of four can save over £1000 on a 7 night break with the free dine offer.

There are more than 450 places to dine (I still have a few left to try then!!!)

To celebrate the launch Disney asked me if we would like to recreate some of our favourite Disney inspired meals, we stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort on our last trip so we will be attempting to make some Caribbean inspired meals.  For now though Erin is eating her cereal in her new bowl!

Walt Disney World really was magical and I am already saving for the next trip  thanks for sending us the lovely goodies needed to get busy in the kitchen.
