High Street Autumnal Clothes Bargain of the week linky

October 22, 2015 by EmmaB 12 Comments

Erin is almost six and has had a real growth spurt in recent months.  She can’t really wear trousers as I have not yet found ones that are comfortable and fit her. Erin likes wearing dresses and skirts so it doesn’t both her but she did need some new leggings and play wear.  I went to Next and wanted to get pieces that go together.  I was impressed with the range for her age and picked up a few pieces and was pleased with the price point.  I paid about £9 each for the leggings Erin is wearing in these photos.  I also bought the top for about £9.

Autumn wear from Next

Erin also went to a party at the weekend and put together this little outfit which was another pair of Next leggings, she loved the stars and picked these out herself.  She was also sent a grey textured jumper from Vertbaudet which is £13.  This is going to be a winter staple as it is so versatile and will match with lots of her current wardrobe pieces.

The little jacket was also a bargain from Debenhams in their sale.  It is a Ted Baker jacket reduced from £48 to just £16.

Ted Baker Bargain

However my best bargain was actually found for Chloe in TopShop.  I was looking on the sale rail where I can usually pick up pieces for the teen who is a a size 6.  There are often small sizes left that have been reduced a few times.  Chloe has been after a high waisted bikini for ages but the ones she liked were out of her (teenage) price range.  The bottoms alone were £36.  However luck was on my side this week when I spotted a high waisted bikini bottom and I then looked to see if the top was also there and it was.  The bottoms were marked up at £6 and the top had no price.  I took theme to the till and they scanned at £3!  However when she put the  bottoms through they to scanned at £3.  Therefore the bikini cost me £6 and was initially priced at over £50!

Since coming home we have noticed that the top must be faulty as the strap has the wrong clasp on, but I can easily stitch that down and it does not detract from the look.  It will be perfect for our cruise press trip next week.  The ship has a water park on it and Chloe will be testing it out!

I love this post! The leggings are cute and the bikini is a lovely colour too! I bought my daughter a lovely red coat this week- she loves it and i’m really pleased. Our kids grow so fast they need new sizes so often- but it’s lovely to get nice items once in a while.

Fantastic value for that bikini! I bet it will look really good on the cruise ship. I love Erin’s pieces too and the jumper looks a practical choice.

Aw look at her. She’s adorable. My little girl only wear leggings to. She’s only 8 months old but for some reason I prefer then to tights.

That is a seriously bargain bikini…although £50+ for a holiday piece originally is a horrific price in my opinion! I love the star leggings on Erin too – doesn’t she look like you?!
