This week I headed back to my favourite charity shop, the same one I got the Disney Dolls from last week. Infact I have been twice and that is the thing with charity shops, you need to be regular to get a great bargain. As great finds don’t stay on the shelf for long. I actually went back with Erin as I let slip there were some other dolls and she wanted to check out what else there was. I picked up a barbie doll that was wearing a snow white dress. It was the wrong doll but we decided the snow white outfit was reason enough to buy it!
But that is not the bargain I’m sharing! Last week I was invited to go on a press trip to stay on board the brand new ship ‘Norwegian Escape’ as part of its inaugural sail. I am super excited by this and will be taking Chloe, my teen, with me as my guest. I have to share these amazing opportunities out between my children and Chloe missed out on our holiday to Corsica with Mark Warner earlier in the summer she gets this one!
Now I have never been on a cruise before but know there is a certain standard of dress for the evenings in some of the areas. We won’t be doing a full cocktail dress experience but we both want to have something a little special for the evening dinner and show. Therefore when I spotted a fab little dress for Chloe I thought she’d like it. Thankfully she was just in the shop next door grabbing a Costa as a treat. She had broken her finger the night before at hockey and was feeling sorry for herself and in a fair amount of pain. She agreed the dress was perfect. I had planned on sharing a photo of her wearing it but last night was parents evening and we ran out of time, so I’m afraid it is hanging up instead!
The dress is a size 6 fitted bodycon dress with some lovely details. The dress is from Dorothy Perkins and looks new, there is not a snag or mark on it. It is a navy blue and will do the job perfectly as it won’t crease on packing and is really lovely. I paid just £2.99 and am really pleased with this find.
I also picked up a perfect condition ‘The White Company’ jumper for Erin. I always look around the colour for marks and again this looks unworn. It was also £2.99 I like the White Company clothes for Erin as they wash so well, never lose their shape and are really well made.
I am really pleased with this weeks bargains and would love to know what you have found this week. Do link up with Becky and myself each week to share the bargains.
