Make Money for Your Monthly Bills With ZIPZERO

October 31, 2019 by EmmaB Leave a Comment

Each month we have set bills that include our utility bills, our internet, phone and water bills. These are constant and we pay them each and every month. These fixed outgoings are often seen as the basics and anything we have left after these bills, plus food and mortgage or rent is the money we have to spend on activities and luxuries.

How would you like to save money on these utility bills each month without changing your habits or cutting back? This would ultimately leave you with more disposable income in a month. Maybe enough for a meal out or that new dress you have had your eye on!

ZIPZERO lets you do just that. Read on to find out how!

How to use the Zipzero App

ZIPZERO is an app that you download on your phone for free. Then every time you buy something and get a receipt you upload it by taking a picture of the receipt and you are rewarded with 1% of the value of the purchase. These funds live in your ZipZero wallet and can be used towards paying your essential bills. It really is money for nothing!

You can add a biller and make a payment at any time simply by adding your biller’s account details and clicking a button. You can earn up to £50 each month to pay any bill of your choosing. Now let’s just think about that for a minute, you upload the receipts you get during the day, your food shopping, your Costa coffee, your shopping haul even that new lipstick you treated yourself too. Then you get rewarded and pay your regular bills.

What if I use Direct Debit to pay my bills?

You may think, that using Direct Debit to pay your bills takes ZIPZERO off the table. Luckily, ZIPZERO is Direct Debit friendly! Even if you use DD, you can still ask your utility provider for the appropriate account details and reference number. Once you use your ZIPZERO funds to cover a bill, when the time comes – Direct Debit will adjust to the amount paid and charge you less to accommodate the payment you made with ZIPZERO. If you can’t find your biller’s details – no problem, ZIPZERO’s customer service guys will be happy to help you.

What receipts can I upload?

You can scan a receipt of any purchase made at any shop in the UK. A receipt is only valid if it’s a purchase you’ve made yourself or another member of your household. ZIPZERO can only accept receipts for personal expenses. Any receipts for business or commercial purposes don’t qualify for our receipt scanning programme. Receipts must be complete (meaning they contain all the relevant product details such as date, time of purchase, list of products and services and a total price) and they must be scanned within 7 days of the purchase date.

My experience of using ZIPZERO

I downloaded the app a few weeks back and I have been using it ever since. At first, it took me a while to get into the habit of using the ZIPZERO app but I soon made it part of my daily routine. Using Zipzero has also made me aware of my spending which is good! One tip is that I use any receipts that my husband and the kids accumulate too. This is allowed and helps me get more money for my bills. I keep the receipts in my purse and do a quick upload at the end of the day.

As an example over the weekend, I took Chloe for a quick food shop, I treated us both to some new skincare after we had our skin analysed by Elemis and that alone resulted in being given £1. Now that might not sound like a lot but it shows how every purchase adds up.

The app is ideal for helping pay for those essential bills and we all want to make savings where we can! In the first couple of weeks, I have managed to get cashback. Obviously it depends on your spending but every little bit back counts in my mind. Using this alongside my other money-saving tips and tricks allows me to make the most of my money and regular readers know that for me it is not about going without but it is about making my money work hard and getting the best deals that I can.

Download the app now to start saving.
