Fabulously Frugal is here again already. The weeks seem to be whizzing by and before long it will be summer which means that we can have lots of outdoor fun for free! At the moment you can’t plan outdoor things as the weather seems to change daily and therefore outdoor fun needs to be spontaneous and not planned.
This week for my blog hop I thought I’d share some of my favourite posts from last week. I loved this post on having a family theme and adopting a minimalist approach. The ideas really struck a chord with me maybe because it is spring and I too am having that spring clean. I was pleased to get rid of two boxes of toys to the charity shop this week.
Secondly I enjoyed this post on thrifty giving I always reuse pretty gift bags and make tags from old cards but I liked the idea of gifting experiences or babysitting services. Something that money cannot buy.
Finally I thought I’d highlight this post. I am not very thrifty or eco when it comes to cleaning products and even though I have read about the power of vinegar I am yet to give it a try on anything. Therefore I was interested to see what a ornage has to offer and Blossoms and posies have given the answer. I would like to try using more natural cleaning methods because I am aware how many chemicals I am using which I know are not good for both us and the environment in which we live.
I, myself have had a really busy week and challenged myself to think how I have been frugal this week. Firstly I have sold a few clothes of Erin’s on ebay which she had outgrown. Secondly I have been walking more, this is because I am trying to get fitter aswell as using the car less. Finally I have been looking to reduce my mobile phone bill which is up for renewal. I let you know how much I saved when I make the decision on which phone to switch to!
