We are all very aware that our beautiful planet is running out of natural resources and that we have added to this decline with our lifestyle choices. Our overuse of plastics and the damage that this has caused to landfill and the oceans have been caused by our choices. However, there are sustainable swaps that we can all make today which will save money and cut carbon. Now that is worth talking about!
SaveMoneyCutCarbon are changing the landscape both metaphorically and physically with their groundbreaking Home Club Membership and I have been looking at how it works.

Some families have a preconceived idea that sustainable swaps and becoming more eco are more expensive. An interesting article by the Telegraph reported that a quarter of Britons say shopping green is too expensive. Therefore families want to make sustainable changes but are unsure where to start. Yet the reality is that we can’t afford not to make the changes if we want a a better world for our kids.
Traditionally SaveMoneySaveCarbon was a wholesale retailer but they have launched the Home Club and have become a one place shop for individuals who are buying eco swaps. Not only is the Home Club convenient it is also financially savvy as they are offering the products at an amazing price point. They are going to disrupt the market in such a positive way for consumers like you and me.
How the Swap Box Works
On SaveMoneyCutCarbon you can act now and make a commitment to starting or continuing your eco journey. Purchasing the Sustainable Swap Box and a year’s membership to the Home Club costs £49.90. The box is then sent out which includes The OceanSaver EcoDrop, the toothbrush and the kitchen wipe. It also includes samples of bamboo plasters, cotton ear buds and bin bags. Once you activate your membership, you’ll be sent the full-size EcoEgg, Detox Tablet and LED lightbulb.
The Sustainable Swap Box is intended as an entry point to people get started. I found it took away some of the overwhelm and it gave me a starting point with swaps I can implement with ease and ones the kids will get on board with.
It’s the Home Club where there is really big savings though. When people buy from SaveMoneyCutCarbon as a Home Club member, they get unbeatable pricing – guaranteed, everything eco is in one place and, within a week of signing up / activating their membership, you receive EcoBabble – the online exclusive content debunking all the eco myths and showing people easy ways (that are non sales related) to live sustainably without compromise.

Our Experience of Becoming More Eco
We all want to do better don’t we. We understand that we need to do more and that change starts with us. My eldest is at University and she told me that her housemates are really on it when it comes to being ‘more eco’ and I think that speaks volumes. Our young adults want to do better and we can learn alot from them. Those of us that are somewhat older are the generation that consumed plastic like never before and therefore I will put my hands up and say that I didn’t act soon enough. I bought mountains of plastic tat for the kids when they were young. I overused carrier bags, I have added to the problem.
Chloe tells me that her University housemates are much more aware on their use of everyday plastics from using cotton buds and bamboo toothbrushes to recycling more and using less packaging.

I liked that the swap box gave us ten changes we can all do and gave us the products to try. I am definitely buying more beeswax wraps which are a versatile sustainable option to replace your single-use clingfilm and sandwich bags. I quite often have leftovers from a homemade dinner that Erin eats the following day or I have for my lunch! The wrap makes it easy to cover and pop in the fridge.
I have been meaning to try the eco egg for a while, it seems an easy swap to make and whilst I was redeeming that on the website I ordered the drier eggs too in the fragrance variety.
These small changes will help me on my journey and save me moeny at the same time! Buying them on the SaveMoneySaveCarbon website was 20% cheaper which is a great deal.
The site is really easy to navigate and it is amazing that you can buy such a range of products from washing machines, taps to make up wipes and dog bowls. No matter where you are on your eco journey this is the one-stop shop to get stocked up.
The swap box could be used in a number of ways I think. It would make an alternative Christmas gift if you know someone is keen to start making the switch. It would also work well for first time buyers or those moving home. The savings they could make could run into hundreds over the course of a year if they are kitting out a new home.
To summarise, the swap box offers the opportunity to save money and time by providing all you need for your family’s eco journey. Buy the box now for just £49.90 by following this link.
