Today we are launching a new competition on Mums Savvy Savings to win this fabulous Unicorn Bundle. Unicorns are the stuff dreams are made of and as such it is great gift for children everywhere. The prize bundle has been put together by Gratisfaction UK who are a freebie and voucher codes site. I have shared my love of freebie sites many times over the years. I like nothing more than getting samples through the door of products to try. The sample sizes are often generous and I like trying new products to the market. Gratisfaction lists samples which make it easy for everyday people to claim. Simply click the relevant link and submit your details and then wait for the product to drop through the door. Go and have a look and see if any samples listed appeal to you.
To win this Unicorn bundle simply fill in the rafflecopter below. The closing date is Friday 28th October 12pm. It is open to UK residents over 18. Email addresses will be collected by the promoter.

I always research the best prices before I go shopping.
Make a meal plan and then a shopping list according to plan,
Give yourself a weekly cash budget, don’t use a debit card. It is too easy to spend money when you don’t see the paper and coins.

I make sure to write down a budget on pen and paper so I can see exactly what is coming in and going out every month. It really helps.
Make packed lunches for work and wait until you get to the office to have your coffee instead of buying one on the way – those convenience food and drink costs quickly add up!

My Grandma and parents brought me up with the mantra ‘Can’t pay, can’t have!’ Along with ‘Save today, spend tomorrow’ Has served me well all my life. My house is the only thing I have ever borrowed for and I overpaid the mortgage whenever I could to pay it off 5 years early 🙂

Always research before making a purchase.
Firstly use a price comparison site like pricerunner to find the cheapest price.

Thirdly if no discount code available use a cashback site for a % back on your purchase like topcashback or quidco.
Planing meals 🙂
Do a weekly meal planner and work out the ingredients you need for the whole week and stick to the shopping list. It also saves on food waste
Make meal plans and only buy what you need for those meals – I personally check out what fruit/veg is gonna be on offer in aldi/lidls and then plan meals around buying that – sticking to the list saves me a fortune as before I would just pick things up on the off chance I would use them and as well as costing a bomb it was rally wasteful as i would end up chucking stuff!
For holidays I also save loads of money by booking everything myself rather than using a travel agent – last year I did a trip that included a visit to Niagara Falls for 4 days, 5 days in Las Vegas, 1 week staying on site at Disneyworld and 1 week on international drive in Orlando and everything including tickets to the theme parks, grand canyon visit, boat tour of niagara came in at around £1400 per person but travel agent quoted over £3000 each!
