5 Easy Christmas Gift Box Ideas on a Budget

September 29, 2020 by EmmaB Leave a Comment

Christmas gifts don’t always need to be expensive. In fact, by simply picking up and compiling a handful of products together in a gift box can turn out to be an incredible personalized gift idea. Plus, it won’t burn a hole in your pocket which is ideal for Christmas on a budget.

There’s no need to spend a fortune on the festivities. Avoid the January bank-balance blues with my top tips for enjoying Christmas on a budget.

Picking out the perfect Christmas present is hard work, so why choose one when you can give many? The following DIY Christmas basket ideas allow you to create a totally personalized present for your friends and family members. Whether you’re in the market for a gift for Mum (hello, pedicure basket!), a present for Dad, a present for your sibling, there’s something in here that will please anyone on your list.\

First off you can buy empty hampers in many pound shops or on Amazon or save boxes that you get and decorate them with some wrapping paper or brown paper and make your own.

5 Christmas Gift Box Ideas

Ready to get inspired with some cool Christmas gift box ideas? We’ve got you 5 versatile ones to try out, even when you’re on a budget.

This year more than ever we will be looking to enjoy Christmas on a budget and I can help you with that! Maybe you’ll like my Rag Wreath for Under £5 or the Macrame Rainbow Decorations ideal for the tree.

Wondering how to do Christmas on a budget? Well start with the presents! These Christmas boxes will suit budgets of all sizes.

Coffee Lovers Box

Know someone who’s a coffee lover? Creating a gift box for them will be super easy! Pick a couple of basic coffee packs, a nice coffee mug, powdered milk, mints and some snacks to go along with it. Pick up some fancy wrapping paper, a box and some ribbons and keep it themed around coffee. You’ll be surprised at how well put together this little gift box can look!

For the Bookworm

And here’s a gift box that’s great for book lovers out there! Pick up some fuzzy socks from a pound shop or Primark, a scented candle, a couple of good books from a local bookstore or a charity shop, a pair of comfy PJs and some tea or coffee- or both!

You can also take this a step further and print out some fun bookmarks that you can add into the box!

Snack Attack Box

You just can’t go wrong with this one! Pack in some good snacks into a small box or a basket- candies, chocolates, cookies, chips and dips- you can do so much with this one. If you’re planning to keep this healthy, you can pick up low fat cookies, organic food items, olive oil, popcorn and dark chocolate.

DIY Cookie Kit

And since we’re talking about cookies, here’s another awesome gift box idea you can try curating. Pick up some basic cookie-making supplies and pack them together in a small box to make a cute little DIY cookie kit for someone who knows is trying to sharpen their baking skills.

And of course, if it is not cookies, you can create a gift box centered around any other baked goodie as well.

Self Care Gift Box

There’s nothing better than a thoughtful self care gift box, and this one is actually pretty easy to put together as well. You can throw in pretty much anything into this gift box- a home spa or bath accessory, a nice scented soap, a candle, some comfy furry slippers, a loose, a bottle or two of essential oils and some chocolates.

The best part about creating these boxes is that they’re so much fun to make, and if you take a couple of minutes to put in a handwritten note as well, it can be so much better than any other expensive gift you would have bought!
