This week I haven’t really focussed on saving money and therefore I have had to think hard about what I have done this week to save some money. I haven’t really been out though either which means that I have actually had a very low spend week. Some sometimes it can be hard to pinpoint specific savings.
- Last weekend I drove up the motorway to celebrate Northern Mum (Jane’s) birthday. We had a fab evening and certainly saved some money by drinking two bottle of prosecco before we even left the house. It reminded me of those teenage days when I used to drink before going out to save money!
- I am making packed lunches now for Erin as she no longer has the universal school lunchess as she is now in Key Stage 2 (juniors). Therefore I have been looking at low cost and healthy lunch ideas. You can read more in this post Aldi Lunch suggestions.
- If you are looking to make some money selling free things then check out my post what sells on eBay including the ridiculous.
- Claire’s have their five four £5 poundss offferr on and sso I stocked up on stocking fillers for Erin.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky Rules:
We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week. Whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post. You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.

Thanks for the sale tip off, I’m now off to Claire’s for stocking fillers for my daughter!

Packed lunches can end up expensive, but you’ve done well with finding healthy, low-cost options!
I need some ideas for packed lunches – find them the worst bit about being a parent. Seriously!!
