Hello money saving peeps! I think most of us are spending less as lockdown goes on. There is definately less too spend money on accidently. That coffee you grabbed on your way to work / home from the gym/ after filling car up etc feels like a distant memory at the moment. The new lipstick that fell into your bag as you picked something else in the high street feels like a life time ago. I wonder if and when we will ever get back to that kind of carefree life?
At the moment we are in survival mode but I think as lockdown lifts we will turn our attention to making and saving money to replace what has been spent and lost during this time.

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done
I had a birthday in lockdown and actually, it was one of the best. My kids really pulled out all the stops by making me a cream tea. We had homemade cakes and they set the table beautifully.
I miss having my beauty treatments but this week I participated in an online facial with some friends. My friend sent us little pots of joy and talked us through doing a facial on Zoom. My skin felt amazing afterward and it has made me realise I can achieve great results at home too. The products we were using are from Neals Yard which I am really liking, they also have some great offers, if you are interested you can see Dana’s page for more information.
Erin had a good sort out in her room, mostly books and popped them at the end of our drive for anyone that walked by. She was so happy to see other children taking them, each time she ran out afterwards to see which book they had taken! It made her feel great to be putting a smile on other peoples face!
I launched a new giveaway on Emma and 3 to win some Inspiration Cards which I think we all need at the moment! Pop over to the post by clicking this link to enter .
I also wrote a whopping post of 30+ Ideas for keeping teenagers busy, safe and happy during lockdown. Most are free.
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.
Every week we share five frugal things that we’ve done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. We’d love you to link up with us and show us what you’ve been doing.
Happy belated birthday! I never spend that much but I am spending even less than usual. More on food though! Going to be the size of a house when this is all over….
