Five Fabulously Frugal Things Linky

July 5, 2019 by EmmaB 1 Comment

We have rolled around to Friday again and this gives me the opportunity to share my latest money saving bargains and wins. My money saving deals are varied this week and just demonstrate that there are so many ways that you can save the pennies! Remember every penny adds up too, so those small savings really matter!

Firstly I have been shopping the sales. I had spotted a few tops that are now reduced by 70%, therefore, I popped them into my wardrobe! This follows having a free style session in John Lewis that I have been raving about on the blog and on instagram! This free service has updated my wardrobe and shown me some new looks which I am loving.

Secondly rather than buying individual thank you gifts for Erin’s teachers I have yet again organised a class collection. This means everyone donates just £5 and we club together for a lovely gift.

Next, I have been saving money by updating the home with some of the amazing Aldi deals which includes bedding and home accessories with a nautical theme. When Chloe heads back to University she is moving into a house so I have started buying the bots she needs, like mattress toppers and duvets!

We have also booked an awesome holiday to Disney Florida next summer and I am putting money away each month for this trip which ensures that I am saving as I go for it. I find having a separate account helps and I won’t ever be tempted to touch this money. Having a savings goal works for me.

Finally I have been making the most of Chloe’s staff discount and dare I say it, even getting a few bits for Christmas put away. I do find the sales are a good time for basics that I like to put in stockings, so underwear, stationery and so on.

We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.

You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.

Every week we share five frugal things that we’ve done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life.  We’d love you to link up with us and show us what you’ve been doing.

I’ve loved reading how you make savings on LIFE!
The idea for the teacher gift is lovely. Teachers often get lots of little things that just takes up space.
My son is also moving into a house so I hope to grab some Aldi bargains for him too.
Thanks for allowing us to share.
