Hi and welcome to my new blog ‘mums savvy savings’, it’s great to have you here! Usually I am found over at Emma and 3 but I am diversifying a little! I have huge huge changes coming up and this new venture is going to document that! It is all a bit cloak and dagger right now but it will soon be time to spill the beans.
Emma and 3 will remain home to family life and ddh. I feel so excited right now what with being announced as a MADS finalist in the outstanding contribution category and launching here. This blog is going to be about saving money, aiming to live a thriftier life and getting the balance of family life right. Big dreams!
I used to be good at finding a bargain but over the past few years life has gotten so busy I lost sense of some of those aspects of me. I am aiming to refind them! I have taken the easy option because time has been too precious. If Erin wanted a Disney DVD I turned to Amazon instead of the charity shops or ebay. However I am back!
This weeks bargain buy is that Disney DVD. It has been a tough few weeks here on the health front and Erin needs some time to rest and what better way than snuggled on the sofa! I have been sorting out at home and took a few huge bags to our local charity shop which is close to my heart as it for the local Sue Ryder Hospice that my nan spent her final hours.
I had a look at the DVDs as I am trying to get a little collection of the Disney classics for Erin. I was really pleased to find Alice in Wonderland for the bargain price of £2. It is £19 in Amazon as it is a special edition.
A great bargain to get me focused and back on track!

Pre-loved DVDs are great – especially if you get a special edition at a bargain price! Good luck with your new blog – and with your bargain-hunting x

Ooh great new blog Emma, I’ll be reading with interest!
Welcome back to the thrifty living lifestyle too! I think I only ever but DVDs from ‘real shops/Amazon’ at christmas. All ours are from charity shops or car boots!
ooh I will be having fun at car boots too come the summer!
A bargain indeed! They are so expensive new. Good luck with your new blog, and in the MADS 🙂 xx
Forgot to say, thanks for your lovely comment on my blog too! x
