My Christmas shopping was going well. I had aimed to finish before the children break up. However things have suddenly colluded against me. The older two are due to finish school on Tuesday, they were not happy that their sister and dad break up on Friday but I was secretly pleased as it leaves me with more time.
Until, that is, an email landed in my inbox informing me that school is finishing two days early due to staff sickness. Whilst the older two whooped with delight I mentally cried a little!
I have struggled to buy for Dylan this year – every time I have asked for ideas I was met with a blank face. Therefore I have been creative, I have made some executive decisions on his behalf and bought his presents. Last night as we all sat watching TV and he announced that he has thought of some things and recalled a long list. A long list of things that was different to what I had already bought! Therefore Christmas jusst got more expenssive and I still have shopping to do despite thinking I was almost done!
