Through the letter box February

Each month I share what has popped through my letterbox in the guise of samples, magazine freebies and little things to review.  Last month it was over at Emma and 3 but this month it is mostly samples so it is better suited here!  I want to try and find some new make-up and therefore it was good to get a few foundation samples but I fancy having a proper make over.  Now that a big birthday is next month I think that it is time for a refresh and I realise that my skin has probably changed and what once suited me has probably changed.

The Star Glow facemask was one of best I have used. It smelt divine and left my skin feeling fresh and soft. I will be looking at to buy this in the future.  The balance me lip stain is also great and that came free with a magazine. I often buy a magazine to get the freebie make up to try.  It is a great way to try new products before buying a larger size.  Talking of make up I have seen that some of the make up counters are doing their ten day trial of foundation.  Again these are a great size for holidays and short breaks as it save space in your wash bag.

February saw us going to London for half term fun and the Shrek Adventure with the children which was great.  We made it a thrifty stay by staying in a Premier Inn in Ealing which also included free breakfast for the children.  We drove to Ealing which is easy to get to and then tubed into central London from there.  This makes it an affordable way for the five of us to get there.  If you didn’t know under 12’s also free travelling on the tube with paying adults, furthermore if you use the contactless paying the fare is capped at the daily rate for the adult.  Keeping thrifty our evening meal was made cheaper by using My favourite voucher codes  which has a wide range of restaurant deals.

Using my favourite voucher codes gives some of the best deals on the high street.  They are even helping you out with Mothers Day if you have yet to book a treat!  For example booking a table at Prezzo will give mum a free glass of prosecco and also a voucher for a free bottle of house wine on her next visit.  There is free prosecco for mum at Bella Italia, Giraffe and Cafe Rouge.  These seem like great deals and I will be dropping hints to the family later as we are in Cardiff on an exciting weekend with Visit Wales and will certainly be eating out.
