Custom Coffee Mugs

If you have an eye for design or love a slogan then consider creating your own custom coffee mugs. You can create the image or print online and make enough to sell at craft fairs or from home. This is a great way to build a small range without a huge outlay. You simply take receipt of your products and need somewhere to store them in between selling.

Soap Making

Handmade soaps and bath products are all the rage today, and if you’re serious about selling your creations, this one’s worth a shot. Since these items are consumable, you’ll be getting repeat sales, which makes it even better. Start by learning how to create a simple bar of soap (or a body lotion) and then work with different combinations and ingredients.

Bracelets

If being in the kitchen, working with hot ingredients isn’t your thing, this one is another easy option to try! Making bracelets is super easy, and you’ll need just a few supplies that are probably affordable too, to create some decent bracelets. To take it up a notch, you can even offer to customize bracelets as per your buyer’s preference, and charge a little additional fee for it.

Candle Making

Candle making is another skill you can learn through some good books or by following YouTube tutorials. They can easily transform the vibe of the room they’re placed in, and with so many different fragrances and essential oils you can work with, the possibilities are endless. You can make them quickly and sell them for a fair price too. Etsy and eBay are some great marketplaces to sell your candle creations.

Custom Cushion Covers

Another excellent item to try making is hand-painted cushion covers, especially if you’re already on the artsy side. You’ll need just a few supplies to get started with this- some fabric paint and plain cushion covers. Trace out some cool lettering, monograms or designs on a plain cushion cover and work your magic with the colors you have.

If you’re good at sewing, you can take this up a notch by buying fabric in bulk and sewing the cushion covers yourself.

Bath Bombs

Bath bombs are again, super popular, and incredibly easy to whip up. They make for an excellent party favor or a gift. All you need to learn is how to use the inexpensive ingredients in the right proportions, and make different variations of them to find out which ones you’re best at, and then move on to selling them online.

If you enjoy reading this you could also look at how else to add some side hustles to your earnings.
