The Boots 70% off sale is one of the highlights of the year for me! That might sound silly but I genuinely get excited to stock up on beauty bargains for the year ahead. The Boots 70% off sale usually takes place on the last Friday in January. Previously it was a week earlier but the past two years it has now been the last Friday in January.

I have been going to this sale for about 8 years, I remember doing it when Erin was in spica which was when she was two. I have always gone to the Gloucester Boots store for opening time but this year I had a change of plan!
Last weekend I had a look in Boots and was surprised to see that there was not much stock. My sister in law mentioned that Cheltenham still had plenty of stock so I decided to head there for the opening instead.

Therefore my alarm sounded a 6.30 in order for me to get up and dressed to head out ready for Boots opening at 8am! I joined the queue with us all waiting in anticipation for the Boots 70% off sale!
I managed to grab myself some bargains and even picked up a few for a couple of friends! I spent £117 and saved myself £272 on the full retail price. I missed out on the No7 box I had my eye on and one of the Soap and Glory tin sets I would have liked. I didn’t see anyone with them so I assumed there were none in stock in Cheltenham. I am super happy with the Beauty Kitchen range because I know Erin will love making her own products. They were reduced down from £30 to £9 and £20 to £6. Bargain!

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week.
Ok so number 1 is covered with the Boots 7-% off sale.
Secondly I have been cooking more meals from Feed Your Family for £20 and the chicken with honey meal was a total hit with my kids. We really enjoyed it and it will become a staple now.
Next I held out on going to the vet when Lilly was unwell. I didn’t do this to save money, more that I wait it out with my kids when they are ill and took the same approach with the dog. It was the right decision as despite not eating/ drinking all day Tuesday (I syringed some water into her) she woke up Wednesday in a much better place and ate and drank.
Fourthly I will be saving money as we have found out that Dylan’s school bus route will cease after the Easter holidays. The new bus riute will be expensive especially as he will be leaving around May half term due to his GCSE exams. I have decided that I will have to suck it up and drive him to and from school.
Lastly I have also done a Hush 70% off sale haul and that will be shared once it arrives. I was given money for Christmas and saved it for the sales. I can’t wait for my new clothes to arrive and just hope they look as good in real life!
