Lockdown week 7 (I think), it seems to be going on forever but it has definitely stopped my everyday spending which is good. As a self employed person it has been challenging to secure work and I have seen a downturn in work. Thankfully the self-employed scheme is in place and is going to provide a buffer now that we can claim.

Here are my Five Frugal Things.
Firstly applying for the self employment grant was super easy and quick and that should be recieved into my account next week. Those of us self employed need to remember that we will be taxed on our 80% grant unlike those employed workers who are taxed before they recieve their money. So do put away 20%.
Secondly Erin and I have been crafting and we made this stunning rainbow wreath we have seen similar on Etsy for £40 plus and ours cost about £12 to make! Erin is even taking orders now!

Next we also saved money by using Chloe’s student discount on a New Look shopping haul for Erin this week. Her summer clothes from last year do not fit and we needed more but obviously a trip to the shopping center is out of the question. Instead we ordered online and also snagged a 20% discount. Erin was super happy with her choices.
Another way I have been frugal this week is with our homemade storycubes which inspired some of Erins writing this week.
Finally I have been working with Warners who make farm-grown gin. Their range is impressive and their rhubarb gin a firm favourite of mine. They are offering my readers a 15% discount if using the code Emmaand315 – head over to the site and treat yourself before the code runs out next week!
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
I’m linking up with Cass, Emma and Becky in this week’s ‘Five Fabulously Frugal things I’ve done this week linky.
Every week we share five frugal things that we’ve done during that week just to show you that the small things you do all add up to a great frugal lifestyle where you can learn to live a fabulously frugal life. We’d love you to link up with us and show us what you’ve been doing.
I saw the lead up (on FB) to Erin’s rainbow craft and so pleased that it turned out so well and that she is even getting orders! Well impressed. Thanks for letting us link up and get inspiration from you guys.
Have a great week and stay safe.
