Are you looking to track your spending and make savings, then you need the Snoop App? Read more to understand how this clever little app can cut expenses.
In this time of economic uncertainty, it is more necessary than ever for ordinary people to cut their expenses in order to save money. In order to cut expenses, you have to know what it is you are spending your money on. Unless you regularly keep track of all of your expenditures, regardless of how big or little they are, you aren’t going to know where you can make those cuts on your spending.

Here is a look at some ways by which you can easily cut expenses.
Firstly and most importantly you need to know what you are spending. You can’t save or cut expenses without looking at your spending habits no matter how much it might make you cringe! The easiest way to do this is with the Snoop App which is a free app that works 24/7, watching your spending and spotting the smart ways you can save.
Snoop works by connecting your bank accounts and any credit cards that you hold and then showing all your information in one handy app. This makes seeing your spending much faster and adds up all the incidentals in one place. It allows you to track your money much better and encourages you to see the bigger picture of each spend.

The more you use Snoop the more it gets to know you and personalise your Snoops based on where you have shopped previously. This tailor-made approach will help ensure that you always see the deals relevant to you.
Snoop will suggest where you can save money and have even partnered with Voucher Codes and cashback site Quidco to ensure that it really helps you save money on the things you already do. Those happen to be two of my favourite money-saving sites and ones that have literally saved me £100’s over the years.
How safe is Snoop?
Snoop connects your accounts through Open Banking using the latest secure tech: They have the same high standards of security as your bank. They won’t see or ask for your bank password or login details and finally they are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

More Ways to Save Money
Eating out
If you regularly go out to eat, bring take out in, order out or purchase food that you don’t make yourself, you are spending a great deal of money on a little bit of food. If you were to limit the extent of your eating out, you could save a significant amount of money. If you regularly go somewhere to grab lunch when you are working, you could easily be spending upwards of $5 a day. Even if you are only spending £5 a day, that amounts to £25 a week and £100 a month that you could be saving for something else.
Let’s not forget all those times you stop at the coffee shop, first en route to work, then on a break, then maybe on your way back from lunch, and perhaps again later in the afternoon. Assuming they cost about £3 each, and this is for a small specialty drink, you are potentially spending £12 a day, just on coffee drinks. When you add the £5 for lunch to that, you’re spending £17 a day, and if you figure out what you’re spending over the course of a week, it is a staggering £85. Believe it or not, based on those figures, you are spending £340 a month, just on purchasing coffee and eating lunch out every day that you are at work.
Mobile phone charges
If you are like most people, you probably have a mobile phone plan that includes all the bells and whistles. Depending on who your provider is, you may have to pay for each person’s individual unlimited service because that isn’t included in a family plan. That means that before taxes or anything else is added, you are potentially spending £40 a month per person on mobile phone expenses. If you cut out all the extras and go back to a basic plan, you may be able to spend that much for a family plan that everyone can share – if not less.
Utilities at home
Most people don’t realise how much money they are wasting on their home utilities. The hot water heater doesn’t need to be set at the highest possible temperature. If you lower the temperature on that by 30 degrees, you will save yourself quite a bit of money on your electric bill. You’ll still have the same amount of hot water, but the hot water heater won’t be running all the time, even when there is a tank full of hot water.
People leave things plugged into the wall all the time, never stopping to think that just because an appliance isn’t on, that doesn’t mean that it isn’t drawing electricity as long as it is plugged into the wall, even appliances that aren’t being used to consume electricity. If you were to systematically unplug everything you weren’t using when you weren’t using it, you might be surprised by the amount of money you could be saving.
Don’t leave lights on when you’re not around. That is a huge waste of electricity, and even if you are using CFL light bulbs, you are still paying for the electricity. Put lights on timers, or put outdoor lights on motion sensors so that they don’t go on unless someone steps in the place where they are triggered to go on.
Electric ovens consume huge amounts of electricity. Save money by not preheating the oven. If necessary, add an additional 5 minutes to your cooking time. Cook things in bulk when they need to be cooked in the oven because that way, you won’t have to cook things as often. Reheating food up in a microwave uses a fraction of what the regular oven uses.
Laundry
Make sure that you do your laundry when you’ve got full loads, or set your machine for a small load so that you use less water. Rather than wash clothing in hot water, take advantage of all the new laundry detergents that are designed to work just as effectively in cold water. By not using hot water, you can save a huge amount of money.
Dry clothing on the line rather than using the dryer. You can put up a wooden rack in your house and hang clothing over the rack, or put a laundry line up in the bathroom. You can even hang things on hangers over the bathtub, if necessary. When you do dry clothing or other things in the dryer, make sure you clean out the lint trap on a regular basis and also clean out the vent because that will get clogged and make your dryer work less efficiently.
Sky and Internet
If you’ve got a full television package, maybe you can scale that back. You don’t need to get all the movie channels or all of the other stuff. If your family regularly goes to movies or out to do other things for entertainment, then having the highest end cable or satellite package is something you may not need, but if you spend most of your time at home, then it may be more important to have more options on cable or satellite.
When you look at the way you spend money, and what you spend it on, you will get an accurate picture of where your money is going. To cut expenses so that you can save money, you are going to have to make some choices, and those choices involve prioritising. You need to consider what is really important to you and what you are willing to do without, but you will have to do without something(s) if you are going to save money. The decision is ultimately yours, but by analysing those expenses, your choices can result in some huge savings for your family, and that can be a nice safety net in difficult economic times.
