We have landed in December, probably one of the most expensive months of the year bar your summer holiday. Therefore many of us are looking to make some small savings where we can.
This week I afforded myself a few days off which was lovely. I took some time to relax and refresh because the next few weeks are looking pretty busy.
- I needed to pop to Tesco to get some ingredients for Dylan to do some cooking at school, I managed to arrive just has the food was getting the final markdown which is always a fun scramble! I managed to get lots of fruit pots at a reduced price of 10p or so. The children love taking these to school. However, Dyl then cooked his meal and managed to drop it all over the floor at school which meant we didn’t get to sample it!
- Over at Emma and 3, I have written about low-cost days out in the fresh air which you can read here.
- I have been outlet shopping and saved a fortune in the new Joules outlet at Gloucester Quays. Joules also have lots of great deals in their Christmas offers.
- I have been walking lots and using the car less which has saved money on fuel.
FIVE FABULOUSLY THINGS I’VE DONE
We’d love you to join in with us by sharing what frugal and thrifty things you’ve been up to this week. Whether it’s an Instagram picture (#5frugalthings), a blog post or even a video. Just add your link to the linky at the bottom of this post. You don’t have to share five things you’ve done, anything thrifty or frugal that you’ve been doing is perfect.
We’d like to make this a great little community linky so it would be brilliant if you could comment on a couple of the other blog posts linked up. We’ll make sure that we comment on all posts and if you have a Pinterest friendly image then we’ll Pin your post to one of our boards too.
You’re more than welcome to copy and paste the badge above but it would be even better if you could let your readers know that you’re linking up with us by adding a little line to the bottom of your post like this one:
