Fabulously Frugal Linky

May 19, 2017 by EmmaB 3 Comments

This week was supposed to be a little calmer, a little less hectic and a chance to catch up.  Yet that is not exactly what has happened.  Chloe's little car broke down on Monday morning which has meant that I have been doing the school run again.  I have also had yet another trip to A&E as Dyl took a fall and unfortunately the tarmac won.  Another week of fun in my life! However turning my attention to being frugal I have managed a few … [Read more...]

5 Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done Linky

May 12, 2017 by EmmaB 7 Comments

Well what a week I have had.  Money saving has been a low priority this week.  Erin has been poorly and we ended up in hospital earlier in the week.  She is ok now but it has been a tough week.  This has meant that I have had little sleep, lots of stress and minimal time to look after myself and my finances! I have really  had to think about how I have been frugal this week in preparation for our 5 Fabulously Frugal Things I've Done Linky. 5 … [Read more...]

FIVE FABULOUSLY FRUGAL THINGS I’VE DONE LINKY

April 28, 2017 by EmmaB 5 Comments

It was back to school for us this week and back to routine after the school holidays. This gave me some time to do some sorting out and reselling. Here are my five fabulously frugal things I've done this week: Reselling.  I had a major wardrobe sort out with Erin and found lots of clothes that no longer fit or are at their best.  I always sort into two piles, one for charity and one for reselling.  I have listed a few items on eBay … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done Linky

April 21, 2017 by EmmaB 1 Comment

Fabulously Frugal hass zipped around again and I am lacking frugality this week!  The children are not back at school until monday and as such I have been entertaining them which inevitably costs. However I did make some purse friendly choices. On Wednesday I took Erin to a Bouncy Castle Theme Park, it is held locally and for just a £7 wristband she can stay and play on a huge variety of inflatables for as long as she (or I want). … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky

April 14, 2017 by EmmaB 6 Comments

With the children on holiday it is a little harder to be frugal.  Two teens that graze all day and a little one that needs some entertaining always ensures that purse is open and the pounds fly out! However I have been able to make a few smart choices on the way.  This week we had a short break in Devon.  We stayed in a beautiful three bedroomed lodge at Hawkchurch Spa and Resort.  The price was great for this time of the year, I paid £450 and … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky

April 7, 2017 by EmmaB 4 Comments

We have finally limped towards the school holidays and I am really looking forward to a couple of weeks with the children at home.  The promise of good weather just makes it all seem better.  Spending more money in the holidays is par for the course but you can still make clever choices. My biggest tip for saving money in the school holidays is plan ahead.  Never wake up and head someone without seeing if you can get a discount online first. … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done This Week Linky

March 31, 2017 by EmmaB 8 Comments

This week has not been easy to watch the pennies.  Life is very busy as I am caring for my poorly grandad. It means that I have been dashing about like a whirlwind.  I have needed to be at the hospital everyday which means I have not been on any yellow sticker shopping hauls this week! However there is a great deal to get FREE Easter Eggs from Cadbury's that I spotted. However all is not lost and here is how I have been fabulously frugal this … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done Linky

It is Friday once again which means that it is time to look back over the past week and our spending. This week has been a good week for finding a few deals and bargains that made me happy! Five Fabulously Frugal Things I've Done Linky: This week I needed some new foundation.  I am a little bit in love with Doublewear by Estee Lauder.  It is expensive but a bottle lasts about five months so I don't mind spending a little bit more.  In … [Read more...]

Five Fabulously Frugal Things I’ve Done Linky

Eagle eyed readers will have noticed I didn't post last week.  It was half term and I was busy doing family stuff.  Plus half term is not very frugal friendly in our house! However I was back to being good this week and mindful of my spending. Five Fabulously Frugal Things I've Done I updated the living room using Aldi Special Buys.  The throw is gorgeous and complements the room perfectly. We have been reviewing eBookadabra which is … [Read more...]
