Meeting childhood characters!

March 10, 2015 by EmmaB Leave a Comment

Like lots of women I like shopping - and in Gloucester we are lucky to have a recently renovated and regenerated area call ed The Quays on our doorstep. However Erin and headed to The Quays not to bargain hunt but to meet an iconic celebrity from my childhood.  Blogging has enabled us to meet a few of our … [Read more...]

What is better than cheap - free! That's right I have found an app that gives you free food to try but more of that in a bit.  Firstly I want to share how I am reducing my food bills.  As I have said many times before I like nice things so going without is not an option for me and thankfully I have never been in a position to really worry about the cost of food but that doesn't mean I like paying more than I need to. Meal planning

January 7, 2015 by EmmaB 10 Comments

Lee is always late home and the children have usually eaten by then. I find that cooking this … [Read more...]

“This post is an entry for #FluffyMarisPiper Linky Challlenge sponsored by Potato Council. Learn more at Love Potatoes. What's not to love about the good old spud? It is a staple in most households and can provide good, nutritious food in so many forms. The Maris Piper is a firm family favourite and cheap, which makes it an ideal mention on a money saving blog. Mondays is our busy busy evening with school clubs that me and the children … [Read more...]

Bread and banana pudding.

September 8, 2014 by EmmaB 18 Comments

I am not known for my cooking abilities, I stick to family tried and tested recipes but that is changing.  We are not a wasteful family by any means but there are some inevitable's that end up in the bin that I always feel guilty about.  I have vowed to put an end to that where I can and now I have more time, I plan to save money but also make sure we are cutting down on waste.
